Ewaste refers to all the obsolete electrical and electronic devices. The electrical and electronic gadgets in non-functioning condition are cast away as waste. A fast developing technology means that what was hot yesterday is out of fashion today. This increases Ewaste as the older versions are discarded. Such items fill up landfills, causing health hazards.

The effluents that come out of industry are often pollutants. The gases that come out, the effluent liquids that get into river water and the solid materials that are thrown out into dustbins often are toxic and polluting. So steps should be taken so that these pollutants are processed and made into other compounds which are not toxic.

When talking about our environment, the immediate aspect to be remembered is the problems created by us in it. Such environmental problems are air pollution, drinking & ground water pollution, cutting down of trees, hunting and poaching, deposition of acids, and so on. These are actions that we directly or indirectly do for the betterment of our lives, not knowing their disastrous effects on us in the near future.
